Effective training delivery is key to achieving the required economic benefits needed in the workplace of today. In order to achieve these, we work in partnership with both public and private learning providers.
City of Bristol College
Rated by OfSTED as the best performing college in the West of England. It has also been awarded the coveted Learning and Skills Beacon status for excellence and innovation within the sector.
The only college in the West of England area to achieve this status- and one of only three in the South West - the award is held for three years and comes on the back of an 'excellent' classification, following a perfomance review by the Learning andSkills Council, for its exceptional teaching standards.
These two awards rank the City of Bristol College as one of the top 10 per cent of colleges throughout the UK.
Education + Training Skills
The organisation remains firmly committed to the achievement of Total Business Excellence through its determination to maintain its Investor in People status, Quality Systems Assurance to ISO 9001 standards, and Quality Matrix accreditation for providing essential Information, Advice and Guidance.
ETS were granted full status from the Learning + Skills Council (LSC) as a Centre of Vocational Excellence(CoVE) to support Business training throughout Mid Devon.
More recently ETS received full recognition from the Cabinet Office as a recognised Charter Mark organisation for delivering excellence in Customer Service.
Strode College
Strode College is one of thirteenlearning providers awarded Learning and Skills Beacon Status at a Ceremony held in London.
Learning and Skills Beacon Status recognises excellent institutions that deliver high quality teaching and learning, are well led and managed, and who are able to share that good practice with others.
Bridgwater College
Bridgwater College (Somerset) annually caters for nearly 20000 full and part-time students and has a reputation both regionally and nationally as a very successful provider of education, training and leisure courses. The college is a dynamic and positive place in which to study and work. The College is very innovative in its approach to teaching and learning, and prides itself on its 'Inclusive Learning' policy. The College offers an extensive curriculum of full and part-time courses for school leavers, adults, university level students, the business community and students from oversees.
Richard Huish College
As a Beacon college designated "oustanding" by Ofsted, Richard Huish College can justifiably claim to be one of the best sixth form colleges in England. It seeks to provide an environment in which young people can make an effective transition from school to university or employment. In this regard the outstanding enrichment and student support services combine with excellent teaching and learning to provide students with an experience that allows them to flourish. In recent years they have extended this philosophy to include courses for adults seeking to improve their skills and, as a result, their employment prospects.
Somerset Skills and Learning
SSL is the largest provider of Government Funded Vocational Training in Somerset operating across the county with Training Centres in Taunton, Bridgwater, Frome, Shepton Mallet, Wincanton, Wellington, Minehead, Ilminster, Wells and Yeovil. SSL is an experienced training provider with staff fully qualified to professional standards and committed to excellence in training; Success rates above the national average; Excellent retention rates; a Quality Mark - Classified as "Good" by the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) in 2006 and good equalities and diversity strategies - "good range to widen participation from under-represented groups" (ALI).
Truro and Penwith College
In 2007, Truro and Penwith College was classed as outstanding of OfSted. The business department delivers a broad range of business related courses, mainly to full time students whilst the Business Centre spearheads employer engagement, working with employers and workers in the work place. The college engages with 1500+ businesses, providing training and development for 300 learners at any one time.
